Hi everyone,
We're in Bruges right now, and it's 8 am. Guess early rising is going to be my "thing" on this trip. But it gives me time to get things updated on the internet, which is nice. Speaking of which, I have now updated my flickr account with a photo album of Amsterdam and Bruges. You can see that here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/elizaswift/sets/72157624903936535/
I will hopefully be posting another blog some point tonight. Alex and I are heading to Berlin in a few hours, but our train ride will be quite a few hours long, so I should have plenty of time to write a new post. Right now, I'm downloading some of my favorite comedy tv shows that premiered Thursday night. Excited to be able to watch some of those on our way! Alsooooo, it's my birthday. It feels weird, I've been so disoriented the past few days that it's hard to comprehend it being my birthday. We finally got a full night of sleep last night though, so I'm starting to feel a bit excited about it.
Lots of love from the cold floor of our Bruges hostel, Eliza

hey sunshine....Happy B_DAY!!! your stories were so funny I almost peed my pants.which these days isn't hard for me to do! The airplane Princess of the Skies special meal sounded so yummy. In fact, I think I will recreate for thanksgiving with the addition of your favorite To-furkey. Grey, greasy and smelly. Yum Yum!
OK, so now I totally get why the mother daughter bonding part of this trip was SO important. You wanted a place to wash off the bedbugs and lice. Just know that if you come vermin infested, you'll be at the Hotel Ananbella. It turns out they have quite an international presence with homeless people. Things here at home FUBAR as usual, me with a raging head cold, crazy clients, working all weekend, daisy and chipper chasing eachother in circles and almost causing me to fall down the stairs and break a hip. However, not to make you jealous, but I do get to go to the Peninsula for my meeting this week. 600 thread count sheets, soaking tub. lovely spa and a possible Jen Anisiton siting. Ok, I made that last part up, but you never know. Of course, i wont enjoy any of that because I will be stuck in a dark ballroom 24/7 but at least I wont wake up covered in red bites. Seriously do keep a sharp eye out for bedbugs. We will have to boil you in 300 degree water and toss all your stuff. The photos you sent are lovely and so tasteful, especially the giant 12 ft penis made of chocalate. The grandfolks are sure to love that! miss you LOTS!! keep the blogs and photos coming. nana and morry have added a new dog to the house, another orphie dog. so far, she has only ripped the the throat out of a few guests and half of mom's leg. What a gal! xoxoxo
LOL!!! Happy Birthday, a day late on here, but on time on your fb page! Your writing is hilarious!! Love love Berlin - can't wait to hear your take on it.
Vicky, the Peninsula? Can I come cuddle with you, or just use your room and mini bar?
